Fall, 2020

At The Curtain Playhouse we have classes for students in Kindergarten through High School.  No audition is required and all students are accepted regardless of skill level.  If you have questions about our class offerings please email us at info@thecurtainplayhouse.com

This fall,  The Curtain Playhouse is offering classes for the different age groups:

Grades K - 4: meets Tuesdays, 4:30 - 6:00

Grades 4 - 12: meets Mondays, 4:30 - 6:30

The overlap in age/grades is to aid families who may have siblings at different grade levels, and it offers an option to "move up" or "stay down" depending on specific needs and experience of the student.

Tuesday Class

For students entering grades K-4- (preschool students may be considered for enrollment on an individual basis).

We are going to have an amazing semester- there is so much to be learned!  Here is our class outline for younger kids:

*A weekly "theatre influencers" section to our rehearsals.   Each week, we will introduce a new show, artist, or theater to know!

*We are going to have some Guest Teachers with tips, tricks, Q&A, choreography sessions, etc.

*Audition Tips

*We'll be researching Hans Christian Andersen,

who wrote The Snow Queen (the story "Frozen" is based on) and The Little Mermaid.

*We will host sessions using instructional videos, class coaching sessions, meet & greets, and storytimes.

*We are partnering with Highlands United Neighbors & The Gardens at St Elizabeth's for the kids to contribute to entertainment                  opportunities for seniors.

**We will be starting remotely & will be going to in-class as soon as restrictions are lifted so that rehearsals are SAFE

   for everyone.

**We understand the pandemic has been financially devastating for many families.  We will not turn away a student who needs assistance with tuition.  Just contact our office & we will get it taken care of for your student(s) to participate.

**Our private teachers (voice, piano, guitar, flute, ukulele) are still teaching via Zoom.  Let us know if you need to be connected with them.

We are going to rehearse for performances, but we’ll also have guest artists, fun group activities, and surprises all semester!  All actors love to perform in front of an audience, but in our new world, learning to perform virtually is a whole new skill for us to build together!

Class Meets Tuesdays:
September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3- all from 4:30-6:00 and 4:30-6:30 on November 10

Dress Rehearsals: Nov 16 & 17(4:30 - 6:30)
